Office 2010 TP is going to be released soon with lots of new features and function with awesome cool looks. One of the best function of Word 2010 is “Text Effect”. It applies the visual effects to the selected text such as shadow, reflection and glow. Prior that Office 2007 doesn’t contains this facility, though it was only available in PowerPoint 2007.

I have used this feature in Powerpoint before but now that I have tried to use it in Word, it will not work! The effect button continues to be grayed out and I cannot click on it to bring down the effects. I am lost as to what to do now!

Get sure you are working on Office 2010 and style is Normal..
    Home>style>normal
Try selecting the text and apply the effects.
